Hello Reto,
Could you please state the differences between 80750 Sph.Comp TC-Spec and 80700 Sphere Competition "2007 Edition"

I'm trying to determine if I (and I guess many more) should wait until the release of the TC version.

Since, there will no possible upgrade from the one to another as you mentioned can we swap it with a small fee??

Nick

Sorry, didn't mean to come across the way I obviously did to you. It didn't really look as you were looking for my help, I understood it that you just wanted to state your bad experience.
Drop me a PM (or better email) with the full details of that unsuccesfull repair and I'll see if there's anything I can do for you from here.

Actually they're quite a lot different, did you check our catalogue for the details already? Even the PCB's are different... Let me know if catalogue is not enough and if you need more details.

No, that's unfortunately not possible.

Hi Francy, i've got a similar problem with a QC2 waterproof damaged under a wet race. I had to wait for about 4 months. good luck and remember...

Does anyone know why the 4-star combo #80794 has been discontinued? ...at least at Tower.

so is the 80700 a "new" speedo. what was the number on the "old" competition model, and what turn motor is it good for.

maybe because they are going to be replaced with the newer LRP motor (sintered rotor)

Becuase they now have the new lineup. Star 4 is same as x11 6.5 if I'm not mistaken.

Sintered rotor is used only in x11 4.5

Here's the comparison between old "star rating" and number of turns:

4.5T = 5-Star (5-Star did not exist as X9 motor)
5.5T = 4-Star
6.5T = 3-Star
7.5T = 2-Star
8.5T = 1-Star (8.5T does not exist as X11 motor)

4.5T uses sintered rotor, all others bonded.

The heavily updated version of Sphere Competition, the "2007 edition" has the same part no. (80700) as the basic sphere competition. One major difference is having 8 punch steps (2007) instead of 6. As for limit the original 80700 has limit of 4.5T and the 2007 has a 3.5T limit

The TC spec of Sphere comp. has different part no. 80750. We are told here in Finland that TC spec will be available in January.
