Has anyone had any problems (like overheating, etc) with this speedo running 6 cells and 13.5 or 17.5 motor?

Bumpage :P

Im tired of burning up GTBs so I am interested in trying the Sphere. I run both brushed and brushless, as well as NiMh and Lipo. Do I have to change anything when going between any of those modes?

Also, I read through 80% of this thread and still didnt find a solid answer. What is the DIFFERENCE betweent he TC spec and 07 ESC? I see internals are different, what does that mean? Cooler temps? Better handling of current? There has to be a reason why the internals are different so why?

Other than that what do the off-road guys run? I think the AE guys run a mixture of both correct?

i used d LRP sphere 07 before...it's have same function like TC Spec but it's doesnt come with Fan. and it's cannot handle 3.5r with 6 cell.....reconmended is 5 cell with 3.5r .......

it's a good esc if u only wan to use 5 cell with 3.5r.....

The hottest I would run is 6.5 or 5.5.

Anyone here have tried running an LRP 11x 4 turn with an 07 sphere comp with no dramas. It says it can handle upto 3.5 turn motor and have revised maps to handle 4.5 turn on the manual. I have installed a fan as well to help with heat.

I was told that the TC and Comp are the same except that the TC heatsink is glue directly to the fets and comes with a fan.

Default lrp comp timing

i know there are different profiles, but my question is there any timing(?) changes going on in the esc?

motor 0*(more like 12*) + esc 0* = 0* or
motor 0*(more like 12*) + esc 10* = 10* or
motor 0*(more like 12*) + esc 0*(start) moves up 15* = 0* to 15*

Anybody know if lrp is going to have a computer interface esc?

thanks for any insight.

Im running this combo on my converted ENTC3 with fan .. so far so good thru dozen of lipo batt. Gearing range from 8.1 to 10 FDR, no thermal so far.

I use the TOP Racing capacitor on all of my LRP ESCs...all being 07 Sphere and TC Spec models.

Yes, the different profiles in our competition speedos adjust the timing as well (apart from many other things), the higher you go in the profiles to more timing advance you will see.
Actually I'm not allowed to disclose the exact numbers, sorry! But since our software approach is different to anyone else, as far as I'm aware, you could not compare with settings on other speedos anyway.

As for the computer interface, such a thing is not planned for the near future.
