Though the LEDs on it still responds to the throttle, but no power is transmitted to the motor. I have tried hooking up to a multimeter. There are current flowed, but this is not the case when I hook up the motor together with the multimeter. It seems when there is load, no current is flowed.

Please help out here if you know what I can do to save it!! Not only coz of $$$, but I really love this baby!

If it helps, this happened with an ambient temperature of 28C. I did not have a single thermal cut experience prior to this sad event. I also have both the heatsink and the fan installed. To make it even odd, it happened in my first run.

corallyman

his radio is a JR Z-1, i'm pretty familiar with it since it is the same as my EX-11 Helios. he has three sedans on it and four 12th cars on it. one of them has a regular Sphere with no problems. set-up is identical for the TC Sphere and Sphere.

i just called him to try a motor swap and see what happens? didn't have time last night at the races.

Setup for the TC Sphere and Sphere 2007 are the same. Both have 8 punch settings.

Hi everyone,
Im hoping I can get a little help on installing a second hand Sphere esc (non comp version) into my car as this will be my first attempt and Im wanting it done right and look neat.

-The red battery/motor wire, What is the best way to connect this to the esc and motor? In my previous car I had a T section in this wire which I cut a section out of the tubing and soldered another piece of wire which connected up the the battery and I then wrapped electrical tape over the exposed connection for protection.
What Im wanting to know is this the correct way and what are my options on how I can connect this up to make it look neater and perform better, are their any little attachments that can be connected to, Im not sure...

- The Blue and yellow wire I understand need to be both connected up to the + side to run a brushed motor and the settings changed on the esc to brushed type motor. When are you supposed to change the setting on the esc, before or after you install the motor, or doesn't really matter.

- Do you guys recommend attaching a capacitor to the esc, what are the benefits of this?

Any added info would be much appreciated an Im wanting to do this right.

thankyou

Christian,

Hold on there, don't power up your speed controller yet. What version do you have, is it the original sphere?

Christian,

I was hoping you would respond but since you have not, I suggest you go to the lrp website and download your instructions. All your answers are there. Please read the instructions before you run your speed controller, I would hate for it to blow up.

at my local club we have tried the lrp 4.5 and 3.5, GM 3.5, Novak 3.5 and the Nosram 3.5 ( what i have ). I would suggest you get the Nosram one as this has set our track record by over a second so i can safetly say this is the faster one.

Default TC Sphere 2007 fan

Is it possible to disable the TC spec sphere fan without cutting the fan wires?

Thanks
