I am trying to determine if their is any difference in profiles or internal hardware, fets etc from the tc spec and the comp 2007 version?

I checked out lrp site and it appears that the features and specs are the same however the touring comes with the fan setup and 12 gauge wire.

Any idea?

Jamie

@senna: the profiles are the same, hardware (incl fet's) are different. doesn't really show when just reading the specs...

@xluis: sounds weird and definitely not normal. can you let me know the speedos settings and gearing you ran?

Yes, i use a 07 ESC version, not ISTC, with a program 2-5-0-0 and 2-4-0-0, and final ratio 7.3, with foams tyres, rollout 25.5 mm.
I probe ratio from 7 to 7.5, and rollout 25-27mm, with 5 cells. Batteries VTEC4200.
Temperature 26, track 38.

Thanks.

@xluis: your settings sound about right when using the X11 4.5t. Do you make use of the "internal temp check system"? If so, how many flashes do you get after the run?
Also, I assume you use a cooling fan on the speedo, right? That should not actually be the cause for your fading, but it's always better to run a fan.

If nothing helps, I'd recommend you try a friends motor (if possible) to see if this would fix the problem, so you know if it's speedo, motor or something else. If you think it's the motor, you should try replacing the rotor first.

Hope this gets you further.

Ok, thak you very much. In the next week, i buy a 4.0 and probe it. I dont use a fan in the speedo, because the internal check temp have 10-12 flashes, and in the ext is to 70-75C.

Thanks.

Let's just say $400 is not really a competitive price

Yes, I know but don;t compare prices from Europe with US. Always US market is cheaper than European for some reason (maybe bigger market).

This specific product for some reason is expensive compared with others from LRP. I have notified the distributor and wait for their answer

Thanks in avance.

Suggest you take the motor apart and inspect the rotor to see if the kelvar thread has not begun to unglued and cause drag on the motor...

Also check the bearing`s...

@Wild Cherry: I think you missed that he's using an X11 4.5t, which comes with the sintered rotor. So no kevlar wrapping there which could cause a problem...

In my 4.5, I had to remove the nylon washer with the ceramic bearings...

With the washer the motor didn't run as he should, and the temperature was higher than before with the standart bearings.
