Anyway I have a question for Burito:

Does automatic (drag) brake affect runtime ? In brushed, you gain a little bit of runtime by using drag brake, but I don't know if B/L speedos have a similar feature.

i would suggest the same as Reto. Begin with 2-4-0-0 ( o initial/drag brake) and then if the braking power isn't enough for you increase initial/drag brake.
I think that this profile set up will be more safe for your electronics.

Default Customer Service sucks

For everyone, concerned with warranty issues.
Don't get a sphere or anything LRP.

Sent in a Sphere comp 07...only 1 1/2 weeks old ( so count the possible runs)
solder tab broke off on the positive.

After 3 1/2 weeks of waiting they called me up and said they can't replace the unit under warranty.

LRP implied I soldered incorrectly or had an impact.

funny...I never even soldered the connection....right from factory.
my tabs never face the outside of the chassis...ever..ever...

LRP stated the board used for solder points is as strong as carbon fiber....hahaha....if that were true we would running cars made from that material.

I told them to throw it away.....i refuse spend more money...on a defective unit.

LRP is not anything like the company is used to be....this seems to be more common with them.

I told them I would be posting in every forum I can to make sure everyone knows about their Customer Service.

Novak doesn't do this......I sent in a GTB to them....which I knew that I messed up....and they charged me the usual replacement fee...I had no problem paying...since it was my fault...
but I refuse to pay for something that is not.

WOW, LRP doesn't want to help anyone, that sucks, thats money wasted there and I am sorry you had to go through that BS they put you through. I've been running LRP ESC's the IPC V7.1's for years never had a problem, THANK GOD because if I had gone through what you did with LRP, LRP would have there hands full with me. But Thank you for letting everyone know how LRP takes care of there customers it's good to know these things so we can avoid dealing with problems like that. I know I will be very careful the next time I buy a LRP product.

I also owned a LRP brushless 3-star set up and I got it used the esc went bad and LRP replaced it for the previous owner and when I got it, it worked fine, the speedo did get very warm but it didn't die on me, I guess I was lucky with it and I end up trading the LRP brushless set up for something else. Thank God I never had too go through any nonsense with LRP's customer service.

I don't know what you guys think about LRP. It is sure that if this happened then you are absolutely right , but i will tell you my experience with LRP.

After 7 broken speedos (LRP/Nosram) i had in 12 months and 2 from some friends in total 9 , they replaced them faster than IMMEDIATELY , also Reto was there anytime i had a question. So it may was a bad moment for them...

Default Zach

Zach..
Are you in the States or overseas?

if you are overseas..
the Customer service will completely different, which would not apply to us here.

we have guys waiting months to get replacements..or they just get denied a replacement for whatever...this is becoming the norm here in the states.

Default no prob

Zach..
you didn't offend anyone...
I just wanted to make sure everyone in the states, noted your experience is an overseas experience...since LRP is based overseas..warranty service would be better on that side of the pond..
compared to here in US.

note to all:
I'm not a thread basher..and stay away from the negatives..(check my posts). My rep speaks for itself.
but when a company tries to get over on people..
I make sure to let everyone know...
!!!ANTI - LRP!!!
