It's not a rumor its an experience!!
greek distributor received some TC specs friday before the race so 3 drivers including me , we tested it saturday before the race!!!
Al the three we had the same problem , if the rotor stoped at a specific position then you had to push the car so it could start and then when you pulled the trigger full back something like glitching was happening and the motor didn't work normaally.

the three of us raced at sunday with nosram 2007 and 3,5T motors without problems for the speedo/motor.

I had the same shutting down thing happening with my regular sphere and a gtb with any motor hotter than a 5800, went to the sphere competition with a spectrum cap on the rx and issue cured. i put my telemetry in the car and found that the shutting down or glitch whatever you want to call it, was due to the esc drawing the rx voltage down below the operating limit of the rx. in the gtb's defense I did not have the rx cap installed, that may have cured the issue and I know guys that arent running spec rx's have no issues, maybe the spec rx's are more sensitive to input voltage than an oem rx.

this sounds like a transistor issue in the esc. what escs are you guys running that are experiencing this?

Hi,

May I know what are the symptoms of this issue? Did it occur the 1st time you ran it? Or after sometime? Thanks.

Also, is it common for the X11 3.5T to be warm just only after say 20sec of no-load mid trigger revs by the transmittor? I am using a TC-Spec.

Kenneth there isnt any specific time , it happened to me at the second battery and to the two other drivers at the 5-6 battery!!

i cant understand your second question but if it is about the temperature i know that BL systems peak at the first 30 seconds and then keep the same or lower temperature for the next minutes.

WHOWW

9 speedos in 11 months sould be a record...

Perhaps the problem is the man and not the machine...

Do you check the position on the menu 1 of the speedo setup?
It sould be in position 2 for NIHM...

And you folow the gearing recomendation from the factory?

yeap

i had the chance to try all the prototype speedos of LRP ( thanks to RETO) like TC spec and 2007 and also one more , that i don't know if you know about it so i can't say anything , and all of them handmade from reto. i tested 2007 and TC spec before 8-9 months , so after all this tests , burned LRP/Nosram/GM speedos and conversations with people that manufacture these speedos i think that i have a good enough experience so i can find out if this is my fault or a speedo failure.

i've changed gearing, transmitter , batteries , timing, sensors , programming at speedos , my way of driving ( no braking , handle the trigger smoother etc)

the actual problem is that here in greece the temps are really high, so even at the coldest day the speedos are being really pushed to the limits , and for some reasons ( maybe my bad luck ) i break them....

Default weak

My Lrp sphere comp 07 had the positive solder tab split right off.
Has anyone else gone thru this?
I've never had this happen before on any of my speedos and I've tried quite a few different brands before.
