XRAY T4'21 Spec
#122

Hello everyone... I wanted to share an update from the T420 to the T421 that isn't specified. The shock shafts are 1mm shorter on the 21 car from the 20.
Keep this is mind if your looking at replacement shafts or have additional T420 shocks already prebuilt for testing to put on the 21

Good info, thanks. PSS users will find this a welcome update.

So PSS users, what spacing are you guys using for the bottom of the shock to the top of the eyelet. 9mm? 8.5mm? 8mm?
I know Hagberg recommended running 0.5mm shorter but that was with the T4 20 shafts.

I could be wrong from my measurements as I did measure/compare just the threads as well... The threaded portion is .5mm shorter and the non threaded portion is .5mm shorter for a total of 1mm shorter shaft. Suppose we can get another set of eyes and calibers on the case just for confirmation lol

To keep things simple... 52mm drive shafts will give the car more corner speed in higher grip conditions while making the car easier to drive as well. Basically helps polish and refines the overall steering to help maintain maximum traction, thus providing more overall steering and a smoother driving experience.
