2005 IIC tech charts
#1

Hey guys and girls I've got a huge favor to ask. I've got the chance to own a car which competed at the '05 IIC at Stardust Hotel in Vegas placing in the Mod Foam A-Main. Its basically as raced at the event but missing all the electrics so if I did pull the trigger I'd like to restore the car to the condition it last raced. I've researched a little but a lot of images and links are long broken now. Do you have any images of the event or tech charts The car I'm referring to is a Hot Bodies Cyclone driven by Atsushi Hara. I've reached out to Hara-San to hopefully see if he remembers.
I believe he ran the following in foam but I'm looking for confirmation and specific model info:
Orion V2 Motor
Orion cells
Hara Twister ESC
KO radio
KO receiver
KO servo
Ride body
JACO handout foams

Robert Dirla used to take pics of all the races for his website. Just found this!!

He might have some. Not sure if he’s on here much but look him up on Facebook.
Also, Scotty Earnst might have some or know someone who does.
I have some Parma foams still in the box if you need some.

Thankyou for the offer, the car is currently flying from the States to me in the UK so when it arrives i'll give it a full assessment to see how it is and what it needs to go back to 2005 spec. I'll start a new thread about it then.

So, It has landed in the UK. its still in great shape as you'd expect from a car which has sat unused in a display cabinet.

My assumption is that its his mod foam car but the body is his mod rubber winning body

It does not look like a Parma Alfa indeed...

Awesome build! Keep it up, we need more of this in RC

My guess is he had to run a Parma Alfa as it was the hot ticket at he time on carpet with foam. But when the car went on display he left it in the states with the Ride Accord for contractual reasons...i.e. he was sponsored by them.
I've done an in-depth look at the body and chassis on my Facebook page, there's still some secrets about the car I'd like to uncover like why its fitted with a non-Cyclone rear ball diff. https://www.facebook.com/benchracer1

Also have my CEFX 12th car kits, both the original and later Evo 2. I ran the Evo 2 at the Italy 1/12th worlds, and pitted sat next to Josh...which amusing led to me being reported as a "team driver"
