Default Getting Max steering out of a TC4.....

How can I get the most steering out of a TC4. Right know I have a Team kit with the TC Aluminum hinge pin mounts and running 2 degrees of caster. What else can I do to get the most amount of steering?

Thanks
RH

start by posting the current setup you are running so you can get advice on what to do from there...

which aluminum rear hinge pin block did you get? x-2.0,2.5 or 3.0?

what tires & surface do you run on? what motor do you run?

hm... if the track has high grip a front one-way will give you more front steering... quite a lot of it actually but you'll have to drive differently from the stock differential setup...

if your lacking entry steering, try making the front end a little softer and add a 0.063 (black) roll bar to keep it from diving too much with the softer front...

if your lacking mid corner you may want to try the x-2.5 or x-3.0 rear toe blocks...

in all cases you probably want to run 2 or 4 degree caster blocks to calm down the front a bit...

no "issues" of course just like every other double deck carbon fiber car if you hit it hard enough it will tweak... thats an inevitable nature of the double deck design...

i run the ITF chassis kit and it takes a decent slam of a dot or hitting a wall to really tweak it... for the most part if i drive clean i never check my tweak and the car is always straight, only when i have a fairly major crash do i check...

with the stock FT chassis full stiff with standoffs and everything, the car doesnt tweak much at all, and takes a MASSIVE hit to really cause ill handling effects...

I like to have the most aggresives steering as posibble. And I do have a one-way but had not used it yet. I also had a spool, what will that do? Also the track is 250x170 with 8 foot wide lanes if that help. And to let people know I did just get this particular TC4 again.

in general, a spool cause your current setup to push more right off the bat. you have to re-tune your car to get it to drive the same again once you put a spool in. its most effective in low bite conditions running rubber on asphalt... in your case you say you have high grip, so a one-way would be faster if its setup right.
