What are you using for weight on the battery side? I need close to 150 grams just to get it to legal weight, never mind trying to balance it.

The Exotek chassis comes with some nice weights. Im at 1460g with no additional weights besides those. I need to somehow shed 40g before the Halloween Classic.

The only weights the full kit came with (chassis, top deck, battery strap, layshaft bushings) were the battery hooks. I'm sitting at 1354g with all of my electronics and such. I have a manutech brass plate but the battery won't fit while using that as it put's everything to high.

That's about what my car weights. I just place wheel weights at the front of my car to get me to weight.

Thats weird. I have all lightweight electronics (low profile servo, tekin rs, stealth PT) and Im still 40g over. That is with a regular weight body. I also have the Integy bits which probaby adds weight too. Guess I will need to look at what I can change out.

I would venture to guess that ottoman is running the lighter body with a lightweight paint job.

Get a LW body. With my exotek, duo 17.5, RS, spektrum micro rx, ko 2343, ip5000 and a pt im right around 1425. I run a LW M.S.6. The PF LW bodies that are .025 lexan are not really that much less durable than the .030's, they flex a little more, so they dont crack quite as much.

Newbie here to the onroad scene and I have a TC5R coming in the mail. It will have a Tekin RS Pro, Tekin 10.5, Speed passion 17.5, Savox servo, and I will be using a DX3R on 2S 5000 lipos. I plan to mainly just do some fun parking lot practice and races at several different parking lot tracks here in San Diego. I am about to place an order with Tower, I have wheels/tires, and gears that I am getting...but my question is, what else should I order? I would like to have some spares, and what hop-ups or additions should I order or do to the car? Oh, and what would be a good body to get?? Thanks in advance, I look forward to doing some racing....

For bodies, MazdaSpeed 6, LTCR, or even R9R (Most Aggressive). As far as a spur gear, run 72 tooth.

Are you running 17.5 or 13.5 out here?

If you want parts fast, go to losipartshouse.com and they will have everything that you need for your TC5 and you can receive your order the day following placement.

Do you happen to know the weight difference? Im not opposed to running a LW body. I found 10g of the difference. The one-way weighs more than the slipper spool by 10g.
