I have only had a handfull of race's on the tc5 but I have never had a tweak issue with it. once its set, your done. Cant emagine the itf being any diffrent.

Keven's TC5 is dialed and he is one awesome wheel to watch ...oh...and a heck of a nice guy for a Canadian. j/k
He is a nice guy. I got all kinds of help from him and Bob Stellflue (sp?) at this years Novak race and my car was DIALED.

I have recently began experiences the bad wheel bearing issue others have been having on the rear wheel bearings. Any hints on how to prevent this from happening other then changing the bearings each time it happens? Would removing the bearing spacer help? Aluminum hubs? Anything?

I am trying to learn how to setup my car. When I turn too abruptly, the car flips over upside down. this is a rubber asphalt setup. What adjustments can I make so this doesn't happen? Or is it just being a newbie?

Please let us know what your setup is, tires, springs, camber, etc. You may have an obvious problem, but it is much easier to help if we know where you are starting

Sorex 36R, front yellow rear purple springs. Camber is 0. Using rear sway bar. standard chassis, not ITF.

Straight off that sounds waaaaay too hard on the shock springs. Look at running something like Blue/silver as a start point on asphalt.

Also I'd look at running 1 to 2 degrees of camber. The 0 camber could mean as the outside tire loads up in a turn the edge bites too hard and causes the flip.

I'd give that a go to start with and then see what it's like from there

As was posted earlier, your car is so stiff, it acts like a door hinge. Instead of the suspension working, the weight transfer flips the car over.

Try this

Hi guys,
I lost touch with RC for more then 10yrs and recently decided to pick up my old car (a HPI RS pro) and found that not only was the car destroyed (by roach and rats i guess) my electronics were all screwed..

So been deciding what to get next as i need to start all over.. and finally made up my mind on the TC05R. As my local hobby shop do not support AE, nor does most of the the shops ard here.. i have to order my stuff online.
So i was thinking if i could get some help from the season guys here on the following:

- What are the parts (extras) that i should order?
- What parts breaks off easier and need replacements most? Since my hobby shop dont support AE, i have to buy pretty much buy everything online and i hate to have a bent/broken part to ruined my week.
- Which stocklist (online) would you recomend for gd service and fast delivery? (i need one that ships internationally.)
- Does the Spool (from the box) wears out fast? Lifespan?
- Would TC5 parts be a direct fit to TC5R?

Thanks you in advance!

**Depends which model u buy and where you intend to run .. nothing initially.

** Caster blocks 6d (other than that suck it and see .. i dont break much .. break 1 order 2!)

- Which stocklist (online) would you recomend for gd service and fast delivery? (i need one that ships internationally.)
** I use RC mart HK and Jasminations (ebay) US

- Does the Spool (from the box) wears out fast? Lifespan?
** I use aftermarket AE spool not sure if its the same part but wear is good and the blades are very cheap.

- Would TC5 parts be a direct fit to TC5R?
** Yes

Have fun .. I love my tC5
