Try 87 spur with 19 or 20 pinion...

The 87 spur won't work, I tried an 88 spur with a 47 pinion (biggest I had) and the gears don't get close enough to mesh.

Interesting. I ran a 88/47 combo yesterday and got it to mesh fine (although I was almost all the way left in the motor mounts). I might even be able to mesh a 46. That would be it though - I like the 88 for gearing my 17.5 (requires any where from a 3.5 to a 4.5 FDR). 96 is a great spur gear for 3.8 ish and up for 17.5 or 13.5 from my experience.

An 87 spur and a 19-20 pinion must be 48 pitch.

I've been running anywhere from 96 to 108 spur (64 pitch) with a 13.5 motor and adjusting the pinion to the track.

Been running the same belts since last year. They hold up fine even in mod from what I've seen.

I have the Mamba setup on a 007 and it has a bit less room then my TC5. There will be no problem fitting in like most ESC's right next to the motor with the USB port facing outside of the chassis.
