I bet that would be killer on a big sweeping lay out. With a one way of course,

the reversible grasshopper arms work better on bumpy surfaces, though.

I've heard the opposite...it would be great in tight technical layout due to the increase in steering with the overdrive

Also, using 36T pulleys and the 20 center pulleys can get a 1.8 internal ratio. Which is quite helpfull when gearing for 17.5 and 13.5 or 10.5 even. A bit easier to get the low gearing with a 1.8, and the 2.0 is nicer for mod

One ways are for large sweeping tracks where you don't have to brake very hard or at all. If you brake with a one way you will pretty much spin out every time. I really only use a one way on carpet with rubber tires. Outside I use a spool...still carries a lot of corner speed and you can break with it. On a really tight track I will use a diff.

You should try to keeep the belt tensions close to even. The problems will show up if the front belt is a lot looser than the rear. When you hit the throttle and the front belt is loose it will take longer for the front wheels to start to "pull" the car and the car will be RWD only for an instant. This can cause the car to be very loose on throttle.

Go with 1a or 2a. The forward hole on the bellcrank is more reactive.

The more the steering arm points to the rear of the car on the outside the more aggressive the steering is, I generally use 2A

Thanks Fathead and RobK.

So out of 1A or 2A, which gives the most reaction and agressive turn in in your opinion? Most team driver set ups seem to have 1A on there and wonder if that's the most agressive one.

What about the length of the drag link? Will making it longer or shorter effect the reactiveness of the steering on the car in some way?

whats up MR CRUM, i was running 0 toe in the rear in the first 2 qualifiers and then for the 3rd and the main, added 2 toe in the rear, but i also think i tighten up the belt to much on the rear compared to the front, and i was thinking maybe thats why the rear felt so loose on throttle. Thanks for the info fellas.
