thanks for chiming in, mark.

Anyways, as i was saying, my brother's motor off came off the track (corona, as a matter of fact) at 260 degrees. The brushes and comm were burnt but the motor survived, so a cut and new brushes later he was back on the track geared one tooth down. He said it still came off too hot but i didnt see for myself. Regardless, i beleive he was at 23/78, which seems like conservatively low gearing. Im sure his drivetrain is pretty free...
but you guys when i was over blowin the car out said to gear in the 6.25-6.30 FDR range (for that track at least) which if im not mistaken, at that gearing his motor was still too hot o_O

i just want some help with this issue, ill tell him to read this thread too. Thanks.

Yup you got it. It also comes with the oring mod on the top deck, and sway bars in the kit.

Could somebody tell me if TC5 has in aftermarket aluminium parts: uprights, c hubs, knuckles, something like this?
And about front body mount support, has this with carbon instead the plastic as orginal?

Best regards

Yes, i have visited before diggity's website, but still very poor aftermarket parts.
About the screws, i think the screws are american style threads.
The another was the problem of arms, it makes remind the yokomo bd ones, are also looked alike very easy to break, i don't know if is the same.

I really want to think buy a new car, i have to think now for coming TC5R.
But as i saw nor RCsquare will release parts for TC5, after the finished to release for TC4.

The screws on the TC5 are all METRIC, not "american style". The have a 2mm heax head too. As for the arms, no, they don't break easy, quite tough actually. I never broke an arm on my TC5 in 4-months of racing.

I highly recommend getting the aluminum c-hubs, this is one of the weak parts on the TC5. Also, get about 20 extra 6x10x3mm wheel bearings, they wore out quickly for me.

Other than that, just get a little extra of parts for the eventual crash or impact with another car.

Team Tamale also makes aluminum C-hubs. VERY good fit and finish on those.

I have the diggity ones and they dont seem that bad. I have not driven the car much so i can not attest to durabilty but they definately have lees slop than the plastic hubs.

I believe 'American style' screw are "imperial", japanese and EU cars use "metric". Metric system uses meters and litres. Imperial uses inches and pounds.
