For Stock gearing on my TC5 I use 96teeth 64pitch Spur with a 45 or 46 pinion. Ths will give me a 4.2 or 4.1 gear ratio. I use a Novak 13.5 Brushless motor.

Hello . I need help to setup the car for run foam tires on asphalt ( I know nobody do this ) So, should I try with stock setup ? any advices will be VERY appreciated.

People usually run with 35 or 37 GRP tires with success but noone has TC5

Thank you

anyone running brushless and have stepped up there gearing to use the Kimbrough 90T, 93T, or 96T 48p spurs?
We run several TC5's at our track. Our layout is 90x60 with 90 straight. We run a tight course in the middle. I run a LRP TC with 13.5ss. I use precision spur 116 with precision pinion 45t. Hope this helps. Its easy finding your role out since the tranny is 2.0 I love that about TC5.

I freaking love my car, upgrade bearings are awesome!!!

We run foam/asphalt here all the time, I can give you a setup so you are not alone!
Stock setup is rubbish for foam/asphalt

The TC5 can handle more speed so I am looking at what I can do to get faster. The car handles great so I am wondering what I can do to go faster. I am already not hitting the boards.
So I am running 19t foam on carpet.
Are you guys using the brakes on all corners, just tight ones or use them at all?
Thanks and God Bless

Here is a link to 1 setup http://www.rcracer.com.au/forum/view...=asc&start=260 at bottom of page.
It is for a low grip track, 14sec laptimes.
I have another slightly different setup for my home track, medium grip, 20sec laptimes, but I don't have it uploaded yet.

Have a few questions for those running the new hard front suspension arms on their TC5. I ordered two sets and all 4 arms don't rotate on the inner hinge pin like the stock arms did???

Do I need to use an arm reamer to make them rotate better? Or is there another trick as I don't have an arm reamer?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Unfortunately yes. I had to buy the Hudy 3.0mm reamer to get mine to work correctly.

I am running the Novak GTB brushless system with a 13.5 however our track wants to start using the 17.5 in the stock class so I am getting ready to convert over. First I am having problems finding gears. Second I ran into a problem when I was trying to gear for the 13.5. I kept buying Pinions and spurs only to find out they wouldnt mesh with the Motor mount.

I would like to find out what gears fit the car but get the FDR to 3.5 and where do you get them? The closest I got was 64P 88/47 and that is 3.74. This was at both Stormer and Tower. LHS carries the motor but do not stock huge Pinions and do not know where to find them.

I am lost in finding the huge pinions or tiny spurs and in order to eliminate buying a bunch of gears I can never use can someone help me out?

thanks.

my buddy's running a TC5 tomorrow but the kit came with the wrong rear hubs...he might have to use other hubs from Xray, HB Cyclone, Losi, etc...any hubs from other cars that will work well with TC5?
