Do kimbrough spurs work will on the car?
be careful with spur gears some hit the top deck you best off running thin ones!

Has anyone mucked around with the camber links??
Because ive made a mod to make the links longer (more grip in middle of corner) ive taken the link off the shock tower and i am running it on bulkheads where you can undo the 4 screws to pop diff out! and with blue springs and black swaybar front, silver springs rear and silver swaybar plus 25 wieght oil with number one pistons! car was awesome and that was on average pair of tyres and no goop! p.s shocks lent over 2 holes all round and outside on suspension arms, lowest roll center front a1, and touch higher on the rear a2 and three degrees rear toe, 0 degree front toe and a touch more droop on rear than front!! (rubber asphalt) and i also didnt have to crank up the steering to get the car whippin around still had plenty to go! Was also using diff in front done up all the way with tamiya antiwear grease in thrust and center of diff! just some thought for the tc5 drivers!!!!!!

I should hope that Kimbroughs work, considering that's what they come with from Associated As far as the loose condition, when is it? Enter a corner, mid way thru the corner, or exiting?

If you run something thinner than a Kimbrough make sure that the threads of the screw do not come in contact with the belt pulley. So you can run thin ones but just pay attention when you install them.

I plan on racing rubber tire on carpet this fall. Should I get the TC5R or the TC5F for rubber tire on carpet racing? The track I race at does get some pretty high grip at times.

TC5R = Rubber
TC5F = Foam

No, really?

I know with the Corally alot of guys run the foam setup for rubber on carpet (thick chassis, stiffer arms, etc). Just seeing if it's the same with the TC5?

anyone running a lrp brushless 10.5t/lipo in a tc5? what gear ratio are you using?

looking at an ae setup sheet, it reads droop measured above ride height. how should i set this?

I would think the trade-off between the cars is what you want to look at. I myself ran the 5R car and just purchased some of hard suspension parts for when the traction came up.

Set your ride height then lift the car. I use an exacto. The droop measurement is how many mm above R/H the car lifts before the wheels leave the setup board.

Hope this makes sense.

Quick question, other than the tires/rims that come with the tc5r and tc5f, what else do they offer over the tc5 kit ?.

I do not believe either kit comes with tires, but for each kit you can use the tires below:

TC5R - Rubber tires

TC5F - Foam Tires

thanks, i figured that's what they ment but it seems everyone's doing it differently.

if guys are setting droop by lifting the car, what good are all the droop gauges being sold?

would the plastic spacers in the shocks be considered downstops? i'm using this setup, http://www.teamassociated.com/racerh...birds_2008.pdf and it looks as though i need more stroke in the rear arms. once i set ride height and lift the rear of the car the arms do not droop down, it's like the suspension is at max stroke while at ride height.

So if I just buy the Hudy blocks, will I also need a setup board?

Also, I have the SMC 5000 LiPo and the weights for balancing. Can I just use the stock battery strap (here) and posts (here).

Here is a pic of the car without strap or posts but with the plate in:
