Default Spur sizing

I usually run 17.5 with a spur in the 90's and I would like to be able to get down to some smaller sizes but am having real difficulty getting gear mesh because I obviously have to drop down on the pinion to maintain my final drive.

What are folks running for pinion/spur combos at 17.5?

thanks in advance.

You should be go up in size for the pinion. Smaller spur equals bigger pinion.

To keep the same ratio with a smaller spur you need a smaller pinion, ratio is spur/pinion, so if one gets smaller the other has to get smaller to stay the same ratio.

ever heard of setting up a car? Instead trashing the car, maybe try actually having a properly built diff, shocks, the right tires, and good set up.
