You might check the TC4 thread on this forum, or go to Associated site. They have some set-up sheets for the TC4.

Thanks for all you help and talking me down after dealing with the manual..
I took your recommend setup, we made a few changes and if this car was in the hands of good driver, it would have been a race for the Gold... But I'm new, old and not as good as others, but working on it every day... I agree, the real thing is how a car works in normal hands....

I just ordered the LRP sphere comp ESC and the Vector 13.5 today for the TC5. The 13.5 is on backorder. I see the sintered rotor is an option and haven't ordered it yet. I wanted to know what real differences I'd see, and if running the 13.5 non sintered would make much difference on a smaller track like SIR or not.

Any other gearing S/U advise is welcomed! TIA.

Default 13.5 gearing

Hey guys,
Anyone have a suggest gear ratio for a 13.5 ss with 59mm tires on a 90'x45' track laid out like the 2006 IIC track.

I thought that I read a couple pages back to gear somewhere in the 5.1-5.8fdr range. Does that sound right?

Thanks,
E

Yes, they were designed for the aluminum outdrives that should be available very soon.

Just a heads up, for you guys going to run the Aluminum Out drives in the TC5, you will also need the CVA Blades #31238, cost is $3.99 for 8 and you should keep and eye on them at they are wearing part and have to be replaced every so often.
