With all the aftermarket parts available, why are there no more economically priced springs?

The mugen springs are much softer than everyone else springs, so they would have to make them special for this car, so the quantity they buy would be lower, so the price will be higher than what they sell springs for currently.

Mugen springs are €9.70 Monaco, I don’t think that’s too outrageous

$18-$23 at Amain and $20-$25 at Mugen USA. Kinda high to me....

To some extent, yes. But at what point does it become excessive?

I passed excessive a long time ago.... I don't even try to rationalize the RC stuff I buy anymore. Everything with this hobby is over priced and changes like the wind. If I could find another hobby that brought me the joy racing a toy car does I would have jumped ship long time ago....but I haven't...so I'm now paying $24 bucks for a pair of springs.

The MTC2 kit price is $60 cheaper than an Xray on a main, and about $180 cheaper than an AX kit. The rest of the spare parts are comparably priced or cheaper as well, so take your savings from there and buy some springs

Always is right, the only thing that bears a Mugen Seiki name that is not, was their MSX-3 shaft drive collaboration with Academy Hobby from Korea! Mugen is second to none on Quality if you ask me.

and believe me, mugen will only produce very necessary option, well tested option.
other brand like serpent especially, customer bought and tested their option, even some out of the box parts already defective. i maybe bias, but that was my experience from 960
