Questions?? Where are Team Associated's Touring Cars?

I've been out of RC car hobby for many years. What happened to Team Associated's Touring cars? What are people racing these days in the US?

There are still a lot of people running Associated TC7.1's and TC7.2's. There are even conversion kits to make them more current with the center drives. These touring cars are still very competitive. I'm guessing they will be around until spare parts run out, maybe a couple more years.

I ran nothing but Associated starting with the RC12i in 1982. I had just sold both my TC7.1's and my only TC7.2's and then swapped over to A800's about 3 months before Associated pulled the plug on their touring cars, so I blame myself for their demise! ;-)

Bummer.
I remember when HPI RS4's had re-invigorated the interest in touring cars with their entry level cars years ago. I guess the interest faded away and here we are. I'll have to look into what the locals are running here if I get back into it. Seems like the XRAYs are the most popular on facebag.

Bet they're making more on their DR10 no-prep drag cars than their lastest TC7.2 ever did.

At club level, it is true.

By the way, they always were a round behind.
