I haven't personally tried it. But I've seen a couple at my local track (outdoor asphalt, medium grip) try it and go straight back to the Twister. I'd wait until you see someone going quick with one at your local track before wasting the time and paint...

Oh really? Interesting, thanks for sharing,

Do most people are your club run the Specale? or the original twister?

I've actually never seen anyone here locally EVER running a zoo body.. everyone either runs original twisters, type-s's or the odd few run hypers.

However I've heard on here that the Twister does everything better than the Dogs, so I've personally just stuck with the twister.

If I want the best-performing body that fits on a touring car chassis, should I go with a TC-class body or a GT one?

All else being equal, would, say, the BWOAH outperform a DBX or Wolverine?

I assume pan car bodies won't fit.

are you running in a parking lot, or racing in a certain class?

I'm participating in a wildly informal race. These are the rules, all of the rules, limiting what I can run:

Video of race (I'm gunning for the blue guy):

A bit of a mix. I've tried both and prefer the Twister. It gives a lot more more high-speed steering than the Speciale. The Speciale maybe has a little more steering and traction through the infield, but not enough to make up for the high-speed losses.

So typically a 21.5 touring car is slightly faster than USGT (non-spec motor) - USGT weighs more and uses spec tires - so it would seem the USGT bodies are pretty good.
One would think TC bodies would be better, due to less restrictive rules. But really it's a non-issue, if you race, you go by class rules. If you just play around, you do what makes you happy.

Edit - just watched your video link - given the type of comp, the speeds, and the track - use whatever body makes you happy - the aero advantage is minimal. In fact, you may want to experiment with huge wings ala Pikes Peak Unlimited racers

My favorites are the Twister, Turismo, and Dogs.

If you are looking at bodies for modern 1/10 pan cars, they are way too low but there are plenty of high downforce options from the 1/10 nitro class.

Look at the GT1 bodies from Colt https://www.michaelsrchobbies.com/bo...brand=991890or the more race oriented bodies from Blitz https://www.michaelsrchobbies.com/bo...c&brand=806588

The real question is: What are the class rules?? Twister is not ROAR approved, so may as well allow USGT bodies in all classes, they are not approved either

Putting up a vote for the Protoform Type S. Although I think I should have mounted it forward +4 instead of +2. Awesome rear stability.
