Motor Run In tool
Hi All,
I have just got the new futaba cdr5000 charger and its an awesome piece of kit but it does not seem to have a motor run in feature which my turbo 35 did have. So what products can you recommend for running in motors i have a robi dyno so i dont really need a motor checker but i will get one if i have too. Any suggestions. |
all i use is a run in fan and a mrt vpc varible psu my personel oppinon is if your experienced enough to be using dynos you should be able to tell if a motor is run in just by looking at the com and brushes a lot of the product are gimminks to make you bye them it would be much better to save your money and spend it on a set of tyres they will deffintly improve race results. :)

it is mainly for when i skim and dont replace brushes, just to bed them in a bit instead of running the motor on 2 cells for a few minutes.
I find the brushes burn up quicker if they are not run in. |

I find the brushes burn up quicker if they are not run in. i would use the mrt vpc it will cost you arond £25 and you can run your lathe do your motors and the 7.2volt soldering irons etc. |
Yeah thats all i wanted to know, will the MRT supply approx 3 volts?
|
You can just connect your motor to a 3 cell pack if you want to break in the brushes.

I know but i would like something that i can just connect up and dont have to worry about charging it etc
