LOL
Myself and a fella named Robert started the GT12 class in Orlando, at a indoor track that's now closed called Revolution RC. Bullfrog and friends claim they started it, its more like they hijacked the idea.
I still find that hilarious.
I got the idea from the UK guys since they run that over there with 13.5 or 17.5 motors but run a much heavier dedicated chassis like the Atom.
21.5 was just slow enough to be fast but not too slow, we tried it out with some Supastox bodies. I ran the Porsche and nicknamed it 'La Cucaracha' which got locally famous lol.
Originally we wanted it to be very simple a HW Juststock esc and HW locked can motor
Emphasis was on driving, cool looking bodies and paint schemes , slower more closer racing, and much easier to drive than these super fast 17.5 and 13.5 12th scales.
Pretty cool to see how the class has taken off, people really love it.
I see that it's gotten very competitve too.

so yea. that's how it REALLY started.. just thought I'd throw that in here.

gonna try these rubber tires out. I like the concept that they're already cut and last longer.

Looks like Yokomo is repackaging their GT500r platform.....again..
Its a derivative conglomeration concept of 1/12th pan class and Tamiya Mini size wheels and tires.
Been around for several years now but never takes any root as a class beyond Japan.

Hello All

I just bought a Roche P12 Evo second hand and looking forward to racing it soon. I am looking for some gearing range advice with the USGT 21.5 spec motor. The track is black carpet around 90' x 50'. Both spur and pinion.

Thanks

Also, if there are any baseline setups, that would be greatly appreciated as well.

Thanks

Try 110mm rollout. I think I am close to 100 on a 60'40' track.

instead of taking credit for something we all started, get out to the track and start running the class , your missing out.
