I was not going to say anything but- there really is no beginners classes. You race what classes you have FUN IN. If it's to slow for you fine race something else. I enjoy what I race otherwise I won't get into the class. The Orginal two classes(1979) were 1/8th gas and 1/12th from there everything evolved period. Have Fun - Merry Christmas and a Happier New Year.

all that means is you have enough steering and down force in your car. That doesn't mean you don't have to be super on top of the wheel all the way around the track. The gt12 cars are more docile. Sure, you need to hit the line, but super video game reflexes are not required.

I have gotten quite a few laughs from gamers first runs with a real RC car. They all have super confidence and I have heard "this will be easier than gaming" or some variation of that. Then they don't last more than a couple of minutes as they come back with a broken car. There is still something about true real life 3d that a screen cannot duplicate and you can't do a reset.

Our good friend RobK, master of the non ROAR rule sets (VTA, USGT and F1) has added GT12 to his universe along with a new 200mm F1 class for a limited chassis set. Warning, he live in the north and he specified it as Mid West.

Seems like that could be a really positive thing to me. I would love to see more people get into 12th scale, and this could bring some of the VTA/USGT guys to the class.

You should be able to order direct at sjttires dot com.

Just keep in mind, the bit isn't for taking them down significantly in size. It's mainly for refreshing the surface by adding some texture back to it. As well as evening the sizes left to right. So take light passes.

We're going to have some races, so this is not just a theoretical exercise.

I like those rules, body weight could have been more in my opinion.. but at least there's a weight rule moving things in the right direction. I'm tired of the 1 color paint jobs to save weight on a 1 hit body.

I don’t do one color paint to save weight. It’s purely because I’m lazy. 🤪
