and then stripped. Dont think your getting that
stuff back, but the other stuff, Ipod, computer,

Thankfully, the odds are with the good guys on this one. Casual car theives are typically one french fry short of a happy meal.

Just look at the Adam Drake truck incident

Well I have in the past called my insurance company and ask about coverage. I have been told that there is NO INSURANCE that will cover a hobby inwhich you are traveling with your stuff.

Homeowners isn't going to cover your stuff that was stolen in Cali. when you live in Va. Your personal property on your car isn't going to cover when you flew to Cali . and your car is in Va. in your drive way. Car rental Insurance isn't going to cover your personal property.

Now with these guys they may have a chance since they are from the area inwhichthe stuff was stolen.

But my question is what do they do if it had been stolen in Fla.???

I again called the insurance company today and am waiting on a return call. I am going to see if there is ANY insurance that will cover MY stuff in the future...LOL

Ok just got off the phone with the agent. Good news and bad...

In Va. where I live under my homeowners insurance I am covered by 10% of my homes value with "contents away from my home" That is what you would need to look for on your policy to see if you have coverage in your state. BUT That is only if it is FOR A HOBBY, he said if you are paid then it will not work that way. Also with the homeowners if in a situtation like this where there was 3-4 guys stuff taken it would ONLY COVER the policy holder...

Bob Novak might have a marketing angle from this incident, all speedos now come equipped with a LoJack or GPS chip, very simple to do at a minimal cost...word!

Hey guys, I live in Lodi (13 Mins North of Stockton) and all I can say is Stockton is a very dirty, ugly, horrible city in most sections. I can see why we didnt move there! The place is just crawling with theives and other criminals, I think that they should have picked a better place to hold the Nats, but how do you know something like this would happen? Ive raced at J&J Hobbies offroad track in stockton and I havent had any probs there or anywhere else. But someone stealin stuff from someone else is bulls***. Period.

The purpose of this thread is to assist our r/c racing brethren in trying to recover their stolen equipment. Can we please keep it going in that direction?

With that goal in mind, here is a list of their respective transponder numbers (and basis car descriptions) that you can print out and retain for the future. A copy will be with me in my pit box for at least the next 12 months. As I have been told by others, this equipment may not surface for some time. However, armed with this information, one of us could potentially break the case and save the day.
