That really does matter I don't think. It is not the manufactor's responsibillity to replace there empoyee's tools and cars and what have when they get stolen.

I never said it was their responsibility, merely that his analogy was wrong, and suggested a more similar scenario, in which, the outcome would likely be more favourable.

For those claiming "use homeowners".

When was the last time you actually MADE A CLAIM???? Its not as wonderful and giving as you think.

I'm so wrong for telling racers that the should look into getting insurance and what insurance covers what? Okay, that makes sense. Don't get any and then ask the guy driving down the street to pay for new stuff when it gets stolen...that's the better more correct way.

Who said it would be easy. Obviously they aren't going to just hand you a blank check and say thank you for making a claim.

You have to do what they tell you to do with all your personal property. Keep photos, receipts, whatever else you can do to prove that you actually owned what you're trying to claim. If it's more of a hassle to get insurance then replace all your stuff feel free to just replace your stuff if it gets stolen.

Nothing like a little good smack talk behind a screen name. Very original.

who's hiding??? Derek you need to relax. All that I was trying to let people know that my brother lost some items in his car worth about 18 grand and he turned in his receipts to his home owner and he got 3,500 and you said he did not have receipts and so on and on like you knew....

Like I said, sometimes you get depreciated value of things. Say you bought your Rolex for $18,000 and 5 years later you can buy it for $3,500 guess what you'll get. And you can look at it like this...>$3,500 is better than 0.

Know what insurance you have, the terms and the limits and you won't be surprised.
