Spoke to Steve last night at SoCal, and he looked pretty bummed out. From what he said, he got totally wipped out from the theft. I know Andrew had just recently got his X-Ray, and was recently back into racing. Steve mentioned that they were going to let things ride out; Police Investigation, and possible insurance options but I doubt that will cover what they had lost? He mentioned he wasn't going to ask so I will, besides neither of these guys really know who I am. If you are a manufacturer, or rep for a manufacturer and have within your means to help out some really nice guys please find a way to contact them, they could really use some support right now.

He got you there...Wasn't that the second gen to go bye-bye?

I got informational flyers about the theft out to the major hobby shops in the East Bay today. Will do the Peninsula tomorrow and Friday; and, then will hit this weekend's race events.

Flyers say to hold them for up to one year from now. That's just in case the stuff is stored for awhile.

Everyone in the SF Bay Area r/c racing community will be on the watch soon.

Hope someone is checking the flea markets in the Central Valley this weekend.

Bill

is there anyway Jlap etc can include "stolen" transponder numbers in thier SW updates??

That way, when tracks download the updated SW, they will immediately be informed and can speak to the person, they will then have the option to call the police.

At the very least it could BLOCK the number......

Doug Hay of RC Scoring Pro (used at Stockton and some other NorCal venues) is working on just that.

Not sure which tracks will continue with Jlap around here considering the most positive feedback about RC Scoring Pro (and Doug's ongoing support) by the race managers.
