Default looking for a 210mm wheelbase chassis

Hey all, been years since I posted. I'm cranking out some old projects during this pandemic-

I have a spare HPI cup racer body https://www.hpiracing.com/en/part/7214 but no chassis for it. I'm hoping to get some recommendations on a chassis with a 210mm wheelbase to fit it to. Thanks!

4WD or 2WD?

Tamiya M05, 3Racing MG Evo for FWD
Xpress XM1 or XM1S, 3Racing M4 for 4WD

Thanks guys. My budget is guiding me to the 3racing M4. (I do want 4wd for this) Anyone have any practical experience with this chassis?

The HPI Cup racer bodies and chassis tended to be a bit narrower than the Tamiya M-chassis vehicles. Also the front shock design on the HPI Cup racer allowed them to use a much lower body in the front of the car. If you are going to be using the HPI Lancia body that was designed for the HPI Cup racer on any other chassis, make sure that the body will mount properly over the front shock tower. Also be prepared that the wheels on the other chassis may not fit exactly in the wheel arches of the body. The wheels may also stick slightly out of the car. You may need to get narrower wheel hexes in the front and wider hexes in the rear and/or offset wheels. One final note, the rear end of the HPI Lancia body is also very short. This body will not properly fit on a car such as the Tamiya M-06 due to how the motor sits behind the rear axle.

Here is a link on HPI's website that shows the shock layout of the HPI Cup Racer...

There is also one other vehicle that HPI made that would fit this body, which was the HPI Switch. However it wasn't a very good car and didn't last for very long. If you were looking for a chassis to use the body as a shelf queen, this might be an option. I did a quick ebay search and only found 1 that was being sold. Here is a link to an article on RC Car Action's website about the HPI Switch...

I ended up with an extra set of the HPI Lancia Stratos decals and I ended up using them on a Tamiya Eurotruck. Here is a pic.
