Another thing I wonder, is the chain. On the pictures it looks like it will rub the whole time on the upper deck and the underside of the battery. That seems kind of dangerous on the long run

I think it only rubs when your off throttle.
I know my memory is poor, and cars were slow, but it wasn't an issue way back when...

Default Looks sweet...

It does look super sweet, but it looks like there is absolutely no suspension. Kyosho took out both the front and rear on the rere... whilst that solves the issue of chain dropping off... it surely wont make the car handle any better. Really does seem like its destined to be a shelf queen

Looks like no cut outs in the back half of the chassis.

The designer of the fantom designed the HPI micro RS4; sort of a modern version of the Fantom.

In all my years of racing RC I have never done 1/12 carpet, so no nostalgia there. However, one look at that body and I want one! I used to race 1/8 and 1/10 235mm On Road 15 years ago and, with noise restrictions and no track near me, I don't see my old internal combustion Serpents ever running again. But I wonder how this little 4 wheel drive car would work on my out door make-shift track. Nostalgia for me would be to paint the 1/12 body to match my old Serpent 950 that hasn't been run in 15 years.

So many times I have thought about converting some of my 235mm Serpent Impacts to electric, but there is no easy way. At this point, probably better to keep those 235mm cars as vintage original anyway, seeing as the new Serpents are not made in Netherlands anymore.

Yes, rumored to be going for $310 a pop. Dang, I guess I'll take 3 then.
