C hub top hat issues

Default C hub top hat issues

i have hand issues and the top hats that go inside of the c hubs keep falling out...i tried using shock fluid on to keep them from falling out...no luck...anybody super glue them in place ?

I wouldn't use any type of glue, if you need something to hold them in, try a thicker silicone grease. Like ball diff grease or thicker.

Iíll repeat whatís been said, NO GLUE. Try laying the chassis on itís side, obviously with the side youíre assembling pointing up. Take gravity out of the equation.

just doing the c hubs by themselves...i'll try the thicker grease

I have never used anything to hold the top hat tubes on in place in a C-hub, not even when the kit calls for a spacer between the steering arm and top hat. It's a simple thing really.

I wouldn't try gluing them in, the steering works by the top hats rotating in the C hub, not the screws rotating in the top hats. Put the C hub on its side so the two ends are pointing up, fit the top hats and drop the steering arm into the gap. No way for them to fall out.

Tamiya anti-wear grease should keep those in place. It's a very thick sticky grease.
