im using exotek double reds on the rear and single reds on the front. Make sure to glue the front sidewall all the way from the wheel to the top contact area of the tire

Another outstanding day of racing with my icon2. This car continues to impress me and everyone who sees it on the track. The biggest compliment I get is people talking about how flat it looks in the corners.

Didnít get to race my icon2 this past weekend but I was able to get some good testing done. I wanted to see what changing the roll center would do, so I raised the roll center to 1.75mm shims and the car definitely rotated around the rear end a lot more compared with having 1mm shims in. I settled on 1.5mm shims for the roll center. Next I wanted to know how adding shims to the bump steer would affect the car. I went from 1mm to 2mm and initial turn in improved a lot. These changes allowed me to run faster lap times up front instead of waiting for the tires to heat up. I hope this info helps anyone else who has an icon2 F1.

The Icon would be a completely different concept compared to the SP-1. Performance wise it would be very different

Which oil to use for the gear diff?
The manual says 1K for the beginning but I think it will depend on traction level, tires, track etc.

I will run 21.5T at large, open outdoor track with foam tires. Low to medium traction.

4k should be a good starting point.

For low traction, I'll go for the 1k when running rubber tires, maybe 3k with foam.

Hello,

is someone running a Montech Hypercar body on their Schumacher Icon 2? If yes how did you mount the body struts? Some Pictures of the modification would be really helpful.

Thanks in advance.

You need a front bumper, something like this
RCM Le Mans F1 1/10 Bumper Set for F104 Style Front (w/o posts) RCM-F1LM-01
or this
https://www.fenixracingshop.com/conv...e-chassis.html
If you have a printer you could try this

What are your settings for the car currently?

As for the diff, it needs some time to break in. Also if you over tighten the cover you might deform the case putting uneven pressure onto the gears making it feel like it grabs are a certain point on the rotation.

I built it to kit specs I got a setup from a guy on fb thatís slightly different and I plan to copy it. The car started out great but as the day went on, the steering just went farther and farther away. It looks like all my diff fluid leaked out. Iím going to
put a ball diff in it until I get the gear diff figured out

From experience with F1 cars, softer front springs would increase turning. pushing weight to the front of the car would also help. Increasing caster would make the car easier to drive

Also what tires are you running with the car?
