I am having an issue with the left front spacing being different thant the right front and you cannot get the tweak out. Broke a steering block and replaced the steering block with same shims as prior. Cant find anything bent. Loosed all the deck screws to "re-center" but still nothing. I would have to run the right side spring adjuster down about 5 full turns to even be close to equal weight on the front wheels. The entire front end is off now and I plan to re-build with new springs etc. but does anyone have any other ideas?

Have you checked the front posts and the center rear upper deck post if they are bent? I found these problematic areas if you have the original V1 posts.

I always forget to reset my steering when I make castor changes because of this lol

The posts to the top deck bend. Also check the ball joints in the top deck that the kingpins slide into.

For the Icon2, did anyone else have issue with the aluminum wing mount in the back where the supplied screws (5mm) weren't long enough? They wouldn't tighten down, so went digging through the old parts bin and found some 6mm ones that seemed to work.

I've been out of F1 for a LONG time, but when I saw this thing pop up on ebay for $250 I couldn't pass it up. I've also been looking for a decent body to run, which ones fit the best? I'll be running on a smallish black carpet track.

Anyone else have difficulty installing & removing the rear CRC pre-mounts on the new wheel hexes that come with the gear diff? I had to sand to remove the paint off the hexes to make easier.

Yep, the CRC wheels are normally tight fitting on your typical F1 hub but the Schumacher gear diff hub tolerance is on the high side so that makes for a super tight fit when combined.

Tolerance is super tight. I didn't sand anything but I had to cycle the wheel on and off at least 10 times? After that it's quite easy to pull on and off.

Default Best Icon Body

What is the best body with space in rear to cover side damper and clear center mount plate for center damper?

I had a PF 1545-30, I moved to back .25” to try and get more clearance but I don’t like it.

Looks like fat500 has given some good feedback on bodies in the other chat. I can at least confirm the Montech F18 works good on the Schumacher.

On my other Icon, I have the same PF body you have. I just cut it entirely just ahead of the side tube dampers. Doesn't look nice but it was the only way I could have it without major binding.

I use F18. It is an easy fit. I mean it’s what they use on the box.

Also I hear the gonzo racing both fits and works well. Other than eBay I think Monaco RC sells it.

I had the same issue, a longer screw will fix it. Not sure if it was stripped from the factory or if the threads weren’t deep enough.
