Discount RC is in Michigan and ships fast (free ship over $50). The car is pretty durable. All I've broken is one plastic knuckle and bent a few of the front suspension posts before Schumacher came out with the revised stronger posts.

I have the same question. I have seen a couple of people post a measurement but not sure where the measurement is to or from. In general, are Icon users on black carpet using max or min caster, or in the middle?

I'm using more caster on black carpet. ~9 degree range usually.

I quite like the Icon 2, but for the life of me I cannot understand WHY they mounted the steering post on the the top deck! Surely the chassis would've been more sensible? Due to the change in caster, changes toe...

I have to use almost no caster to avoid traction roll. I'm at 1-2°

Like Teacher asked, glue on front tires?

What is your rear droop and anti squat? Damper tubes? Side springs? Rear springs?

Cool setup. My car has way more rear damping than that. I'm 80 in the center and 40 on the sides. I usee 8 degrees caster and the thing is a beast. I tried very low caster and the understeer was terrible. My car wouldn't transfer any weight on to the front tire but my damping is significantly higher.

BadSign, have you checked the post that attach the top deck to the bottom? If you have the lightweight post that originally came on the car it's possible they are bent.

I have the Icon 2, so it should be the heavier posts, I believe?

They are not bent, still round.

On my Icon I use a 4000mah slim battery with a 50g weight and I glue the front tires to about 2mm below the mold line, really has no hint of flipping on black carpet.

If you have a fat battery and low damping in the rear you have a lot of weight transferring on the back which usually makes cars flip. It's hard on the Icon to get weight up front but I have about 40 grams total in front of the halfway point of the wheelbase.

Try that and add some caster back in.
