Is the gear diff a necessity for black carpet?

Not an absolute necessity. I have run both ball diff and gear diff. For ball diff you will want a very heavy grease to slow the diff action and prolong time between rebuilds. I use Tamiya VG grease and it seems to work well. Some like to use the Tamiya AW grease but being wax based I have found it gets 'looser' as it heats up.

So I've heard some racers complain that when adjusting the top deck camber plate that their camber can be slightly off. This is due to tolerances in the slot and the screws. I have solved this issue by using zero tweak screws that come with my Roche EVO 3 there is a noticeable difference using these screws and a standard M3. I would recommend everybody switch to these. They can be found on Roche USA's website and I believe coming like a pack of 12.

They're called ulp screws they're ultra low profile and they're slightly wider at the top so anywhere you put them on the car they fill the hole of the carbon fiber so you get no tweak .

Here's a close up photo of the screw compared to a standard M3 it's hard to tell the difference but it's there I had a slight amount of play with the standard screws as soon as I put these in all the play went away.

I use them on all the front arm holes with incredible success they basically eliminate all tweak or all possibility of tweak due to manufacturing tolerances and make the front end incredibly accurate. I really enjoying the ease of setup on this car and happy to report that the icon 2 gear diff works flawlessly with zero leaks with the kit 1000 weight oil in it.

Hi, Just building my new Icon 2 and have found the flange bearing 1/4x3/8x1/8 (Yellow) are a very loose fit in the ride height adjusters. The amount varies from adjuster to adjuster and I am concerned that the bearing will rotate in the adjuster and not on the axel. Has anyone experienced this and is there a fix available?

That is normal for this car I'm so used to them being tight on other cars. It's actually a good thing cuz it helps to keep the bearing from binding or overheating. My bearing can fall out of them but there's no play.
