What could it be?

DR = Drift?

DR = noprep Drag Race?

Low cost VTA chassis?

EDIT:
It is a drag car based on the SC10:

I'm having to go with no-prep drag car. Seems to be the new, new fad.

Hmmm...kinda looks like the hood line of an old Ford Capri MK1.

It's smart business on their part- road racing was not paying the bills for big AE.

Street outlaw drag racing is about to explode on the other hand and great timing on AE's part. Just look at how many members are in the facebook groups for no prep drag and slash drag racing etc...

You could probably just buy their SCT kit and attach the wheelie bar.

I kind of have to agree here - I would think that being an Associated car, the target audience would probably want it in kit form in order to choose their own electronics... or am I off the mark here?

We (racers) are not their target market with this car. The casual hobbyist/basher is who they are going after. It falls in line with the majority of their other chassis they sell now. As far as RTR, itís the way itís been since Traxxas introduces the T-MAXX nearly 20 years ago. New people want something ready to go out of the package. They donít want to deal with piecing together everything. Take it out the box, charge, play.

Great to see more companies diving into drag racing, but it's meh for me

If this brings a bigger following to the drag racing scene, I'm happy for it

I'll gladly race a bunch of DR10's to make some extra cash
