I built my R12 last night and took it out for its Maiden voyage today. The build went so smoothly that it was almost boring. Lol. Just make sure to sand down the big diff gears 0.12mm for smooth diff action.
On my local tiny crc ft2 track, the R12 on its Maiden voyage was almost on par with my Awesomatix mmx.
R12 ran a fast lap of 6.39s and top 15 of 6.51s. Mmx FL was 6.38 and top 15 of 6.46. Not a bad result for its first run. I'll tinker with the setup a bit and run a couple of more packs through it on Wednesday.

On asphalt, with the kit top decks, I've found the car is quite better with the front one cut. And removing four of the top deck screws using just the inner ones. Have the option ones installed now and will test soon. I have an AMX MMX in my stable and top deck tuning is beneficial with that chassis. The R12 is very similar in chassis flex.

Marcos, i'm curious to read your findings abut this chassis so keep us posted.

I've been looking at this kit and am curious about something. Do you have to use an Xray style spur gear that is milled on the one side or can you use any normal spur? If you can use a normal spur, do the battery stops keep the battery from hitting?

well very impressed with the car today , the kit set up was ok but it felt a little pushy for my liking and the rear was a little loose. made a few changes and i got the car to match my BD9(mid car) times and proceeded to get even quicker. ill put it on a set up sheet and post it later.,

Car was money today for me the first time out. Kit setup with a spring change, rear toe, and droop changes. All my testing was in USGT. This car is so easy to drive it felt great running with confidence with a car I knew could finish a race. Will be back out next weekend with a couple of changes. Rear diff fluid will be increased for hot weather racing.

I ran mine for the first time this past weekend and definitely need to make some changes. Running on Medium grip Asphalt, the kit setup felt very numb and stable. I did not have springs to play with but will next week. I also think some softer ANTI-roll bars are need. It looks like currently only 1.3s are available for the car? The bars from the R11 will not work because the gap in the bend points is too narrow for this car.

I’m using the rear sway bars from the Infinity IF2 just have to move them bearings inside the bulkheads

Yokomo BD9 rear sway bars fit the rear. So far nothing I have test fitted with is a match for the front. For asphalt the kit 1.3 front should be enough. I'd like to have some rear options to match what I ran on my BD9. Car5 was a bullet last weekend. Expect more R12's to pop up soon. Got the mod guys in Socal running the car now.....My reach even extends to Florida.....hahahahaha

Mounting the Swaybar with the bearing on the inside will make the swaybar feel softer.

Why the centered belt rear differential instead of a centered front spool? You could have the servo more centered...
