ARC R12 Touring Car
#212
Came from a much older bd7 and it was an amazing difference but bear in mind the bd7 is a 10-year-old car. Handed the car over to the top drivers and they all said it drives beautifully.
I had major rear sliding issue with the bd7 which could not be rectified with set up. I could only control it by really feathering the throttle. The arc is letting me just punch the throttle through the corners. No understeer issues. The confidence it gives is amazing. But once again i am coming from a 10-year-old car...
There have been a major concern with people having issues with the tyres shaving off the ballhead links. This was brought up in the facebook page and a number of people reported similar issues but i havent had too much of an issue there yet.
Have put in about 50 packs of run time so far... have had some bad barrel rolls but car held up fine.

Car has been amazing. The driver has not hahaha.
In terms of durability, it is good. I have had quite a number of big crashes and the car has come out fine. There was quite a big crash involving an awesomatix where it spun out on the straight and i rammed it straight on... We both were expecting chassis breaks but all I suffered from were popped ball ends.
With regards to drivability... the car is quite easy to drive and easy to push hard because of it. Gives quite a bit of confidence. Our track is quite low grip with loose dirt and it handles it very well.
Car is made in Taiwan but fit and finish is superb. There is no printed manual so you will need to build it in front of your pc and the instructions are lacking behind some of the more established brands.
Once again, the car is amazing but the driver is not. Here is my latest result. Would have probably made the A-main (missed it by 4 seconds) if not for radio glitching issues during qualifying. Would have won the B-main if not for my inability to navigate back markers.
Here is a clip of the race... proper race video will come soon... but this is all i have right now. I am the white car in pole...

ARC's in general are very sturdy, really hold up well. The std 12.1 is more than capable of holding it's own (witness the performance down at Illawarra at the weekend).
There is a strong support for the car in Sydney (where I note your location is), with the local Aussie distributor (Smokem Racing) being based there. Also a lot of guys running it locally. Certainly won't be disappointed.

Can we celebrate the availability of this beautiful (useless) part
which will allow to ensure that your 4° C-hub are 4°...
When you tries to mimic another brand too hard lol
