Default Niftech -> xylene?

Has anyone ever figured out the solvent in Niftech. Itís near impossible to get in Canada these days and I really miss it.

Iíve heard xylene. Anything else?

I sure liked niftech for foam tires since it didn't leave the tires greasy for a few laps like sxt. Hopefully you can find out what it's ingredients were.

I spoke to him not to long ago, he still has cases of it.. I'm sure he'd sell it if you called him. Number was still good as of a year or so ago

As I understand it, the issue was shipping hazardous materials across the border. Lots of paperwork. I used to ship all kinds of highly dangerous hazmat all over the world. It can be a pain.

That is all I have heard as well, that it was mostly Xylene. But not sure if anything else was added. I know it smelled like pure xylene as we used pure xylene to remove conformal coating on GM ECM circuit boards.

aShoot! Why didn't I think of that? I as trying to reflow the clock circuit board in my Toyota a few years ago and the damned coating just gummed up my iron.

Just make sure you flush with isopropal afterwards to neutralize the xylene or your fresh coat of conformal coating will bubble up, not that I have done that before, lol.
