Default Looking for another on-road basher/fun car

I currently own the Traxxas 4-Tec VXL, a built RWD drag car (slash/bandit based chassis), and a TT-02RR - I use all of these cars to bash and race on road

I'm looking for something new. I saw the Kyosho Inferno GT2 VE, and like the size, but for the price, the electronics seems underwhelming. I could almost go with an Arrma Infraction or Limitless for a similar price

I don't track race since we don't have any around here, but I'm looking to drag race and bash with it

Thoughts/suggestions on what to look at or think about?

I came here to suggest a "normal" tt02. But you have a TT02rr. :-) I just bought the Mazda 3 red tub edition car for messing around. It's way better than I expected.

Go w the limitless, it is a really well built piece, and you get to decide what motor and speedo to use. I ordered mine a long time ago probably in june and just got it a couple of weeks ago.I am extremely impressed with the quality of the parts and the build. The only thing is the steering seems a little tight, but thats easily remedied. I'm goin a little nuts w mine, I have a 2000kv NEU 1521 motor (the biggest motor that will fit in the standard configuration), and using a 42 tooth pinion with 8S. Thats 59,200rpm!!!!! yikes!! If you dont like the fact that its an open wheel car, they give you a b unch of different body posts and buy a different body from like delta plastics or someone. Have fun!!!!

How about a 1/8 Tekno with an on-road setup? Could be cool!

Go all out. An FG 1/5

FG Sportsline 4WD Audi RS5 DM Racing - DM Racing

I had a deposit on the Arrma for few months. But decided to pass. I’ve got enuff 1/8+ on road. And not a good place to go crazy fast.

I'd like to keep is electric, and right around the 1/7 or 1/8 scale, but I appreciate the suggestion.

Thinking of getting the Limitless, but am unsure what motor/ESC to buy. I'd like to use it as a drag car and occasional parking lot fun car.

I see lots of people with the Limitless that do speed runs, but I don't have any desire to do that.

I'm sure you can use the Limitless for more than just speed runs. It looks like a really cool chassis. As far as Motor/ESC, I'd go with a HobbyWing 2000kv or lower setup. Run it on 4s or 6s. Thing would probably be nasty.

Trying to make it a drag racer, you think 4S and 6S would be fast enough?

Can't see why not. I'm sure you could equip the car with an 8s capable ESC if need be.

I recommend the LRP s10 TC. There is a pre-assembled kit and an RTR available. I have one and have done some mods in it. I have converted it to a rally car.

It's loaded with lots of upgrades as stock. Aluminum center shaft, aluminum adjustable motor mount, aluminum deck posts, carbon reinforced main deck, all metal gears including diff, universal steel shaft, aluminum 60mm big bore dampers, stainless turnbuckles, and aluminum suspension plates. It also comes with wheels and tires mounted. Out of the box, it is 10x better than a TT-02 (which has non-adjustable).

Here it was when it came...

After the mods, here it is now...

Mods I've done so far are:

- fabricated carbon fiber upper deck (3mm)
- replaced stock dampers to YR 60mm (extended to 65mm) shock gear dampers
- replaced all screws to aluminum hex (blue)
- replaced all turnbuckles to Tamiya (blue)
- replaced front knuckles and c-hubs to aluminum
- replaced plastic aluminum servo mount to aluminum

It's such a fun car to drive on and off road.

Hoyle33 I have a few suggestions.
1) upgrade the hell outta the Kyosho inferno GT2 it is a good size and good for bashing. Although I do agree that the price is ridiculous. Plastic dogbones and philips hardware for 700$ isnít the best deal out there. BUT once you gear it up (stock) itíll go 60mph with a gear change. With a mega esc the 2000 kv motor will go 80 mph. With 6s castle itíll go into the 100 mph club. I reccomend it. Itís a good platform, although expensive, it is very durable and extremely capable of loads of upgrades. Also go with the dodge demon body. Sick as hell.

remember, whatever rc car you choose, donít look back.
