Received the car today. For a $100 entry level car - went together nice. I was surprised, the plastic shocks were better than I thought they would be.
Being all plastic / fiberglass (except the motor mount) the car has a TON of flex in it... Will be interesting to see how it drives, what changes may need to be made

Nice built, wait for your feed back on the track
Just pick the Advance evo 2k18 front spool and aluminium hex wheels cause the plastic ones will break sooner, like on the XI Sport.

So today was first day to take the car to the track - For just building to kit and throwing on a set of VTA tires - the car was pretty good (this is on "low" - "med" grip black carpet).
Observations:
1) will need to get AL hexes (plastic will come off in the tires)
2) Front tires need spacers with the VTA tires (or wider hexes). I added 1mm to each side easily could have added another 0.5mm - 1.0mm
3) Could use more steering (I did not change setup today, just ran stock setup. **** I also like a LOT of steering in my cars)
Over all I was very pleasantly surprised.

I've ordered one of these today to replace my XI Sport NU, I'm planning to run the car in 13.5t blinky at club level and also entering my first UK National next year. Looking forward to it.

I'm in balance between Advance S and 20M for a 2nd 13.5t blinky.

Raceday #2 at the track with the car.
Let my son run the car in VTA. (He is 6yr old)
1st round:
Way too much traction on black carpet - need to setup car.
He kept traction rolling
Preparing for 2nd round, turned down dual rate. Adjusted tire prep. Car was more easier to drive for him. (then he ran into a barrier too hard, broke the steering linkage - so may upgrade that to AL and/or get servo saver)
But that is the only thing thus far that has broke.
**** I did need to add spacers to front axles for the VTA fronts to fit and not rub on the steering arm ****

I was also considering the 20M but decided that the level I'm at, I'd save the money and get the Advance S then spend the leftover on new tyres & electrics.

I just built a Sakura Advance S to replace my XXX-S RTR for VTA racing. Looking forward to what this can do! Can I get some guidance on a starting point for gearing in VTA? I have a Novak ballistic 25.5 and a Hobbywing V2.1 (knock off) using V3 Just Stock firmware. The track is small, See youtube video below to see my local. We have no gearing rules. Track is about 35x70 and has 12-14 turns when in road course form.
