Default Over heating tires

What are the symptoms of over heating TC tires on black carpet? What are tuning choices that can be done to limit over heating?

Symptoms: you will feel the tires' performance fall off midway through your run.
Tuning: different compound tires. I do not know about carpet to give a good recommendation.
