Wow, thatís an old school variable resistir speed control there - itís pretty much what the norm was before the ESC was invented.

By the way, if you do build that out, make sure you use a 1s, which is the norm for 12th scale - with the power that todayís brushless motors put out, it will be practically uncontrollable with a 2s battery, Iíd think.

Sell it or shelf it. Dont ruin a classic with modern electronics. On top of that if anything breaks you WILL NOT find parts for that car. Not really good as a basher either. Too many reasons to not do it.

In fact shoot me a PM if you are interested in trading f or something a little more suitable for him.

That was my first RC car. Great car, but that one is in bad shape with all the rust. By the way, a new Lipo hard shell battery probably won't fit. You will have to find a 6 cell pack of nicads or nickle metal hydrids.

Just leave it alone and sell it to a collector, the moment you put in new electronics, will be the start of the loss in value. Might be an Early kit, as it has the Graphite stiffener but not the Graphite axle.

Or just trade it here on RCtech perhaps...

Wow that would be a sin to destroy it with new technology. Put it in a glass case for you or a drooling RC collector on Ebay or here. Let us know how much it sold for. Very nice man!
