Anyone purchasing this kit (and previous version), please remember the hinge pins are imperial in size. So you may 'need' to purchase imperial shims (if you have a stockpile of the usual 3mm ID shims/spacers). Just a heads up.

UOTE=daiji;15526569]Has anyone noticed that the motor is in front of the gear? and the other mid cars are in the back?[/QUOTE]

Previous mid-motor conversions such as the Mi5EVO which I have, the motor placement was also in front of the spur gear. Here's a pic of my VTA oval set-up. I keep this chassis specifically in this configuration for the few times a year I get to run oval with it. It works very, very well for this class. This has the blinky mount with the small spur gear too.

It's an actual mid motor car, not a mid pulley. with the lighter motors, lighter electronics and lighter batteries we all run they wanted a car that would balance at the four corners easier.
I'll let you know next week what the verdict is.

I also tried my Mi5evo in mid motor layout, which looks very similar to the Mi7 mid layout (maybe the motor is moved slightly more to the front).
The issue with this layout (apart from fitting the electronics which is not easy, I needed a small receiver like a sanwa 482), is that the weight balance is a lot more to the front axle.
The target according to awesomatix guys is around 51% to the rear, I can't get over 48% with the battery and ESC full rear (with modern electronics and stuff).
I hope the weight balance will be ok on the Mi7.

Since the outdrive is now supported only by bearings and not the diff case itself, a single 5x8x2.5 bearing was probably not wide enough to survive the moment loads the outdrive sees. Adding the little bearings in the center will give a lot of support to the outdrive.

racer034life, I think DiscountRCStore.com will have parts. Maybe someone from there will chime in to confirm this...?
