Best chassis for bumpy concrete track?

Default Best chassis for bumpy concrete track?

Hi, I'm going to be focusing on-road and the track will be slippy concrete with some bumps.
What would be a suggestion for a good chassis that fits these sort of conditions well? I guess I'm thinking a chassis that flexes a little more than normal and provides more feedback over bumps and tracks irregularities?

From the top of my head, and assuming this is about TCs, probably the Serpent 4X which has a 2mm lower deck out of the box or the Mugen MTC1 with something like a 2.15mm lower deck with the option of an "ultra flex" top deck that is pretty unique. Most other conventional TCs are 2.25mm and have similar designs that should be roughly the same flex wise, although some also have the option of a thinner top deck (around 1.6 - 1.75mm) usually intended to be used with alu lower decks. I don't know if it's a good idea to be used with a normal carbon lower deck, but it would definitely be more flexy

Technically i have some suggestions, but practically is not very easy to make it.
As i thought BD7 2013, TRF417X and HB Cyclone TCXX are best choice for low traction and bumpy tracks but I don't believe is easy to find these discontinued cars.

I would say that any of the newer cars would be fine with a carbon fiber chassis and tune it to the track that you are running it on.

Hi flatovercrest, I've all ways believed that a stiff chassis is better on a rough surface so that the suspension can handle the bumps. In other words soft springs and shock oil and high traction threaded tires that would eliminate the unpredictability of a soft chassis. I know many people will disagree with me but that's my belief. On a smooth surface, I don't think a soft or stiff chassis is as critical. Again, many will disagree.

I guess it's personal preference based on your experience.

My tips is finding cars which could use long spring shocks, from my experience the better is using HPI blue, silver or pink springs and use super soft spring in rear in case very slippery(eg: tamiya red, yokomo black)
In case is extremely slippery as polished concrete tracks, use rear ball diff, remove roll bars, try between Speedmind radial or rally tires and Schumacher radial or rally tires.

Motor power limit
weight limit
