Anybody else got any asphalt setups for the EC?

Or can anyone tell us how your setups differ from the main Euro's one and the effect theses changes have had?

Thanks
Skiddins

Seriously....any and everyone that can help you is on the regular Schumacher thread. There's no need for two threads. If you don't feel like looking through all those pages for the answer to your question then ask it again. Most of us have kids so repeating ourselves isn't a problem.

Most of us are running the Euros setup outdoors on asphalt with a few little adjustments here and there to account for track conditions. Small things like wheelbase adjustments by .5mm, 5wt. on the shock oil, things like that. But we're all starting with Teemu's setup from the kit.

Just got back from a ski race at Tahoe, but yep my car has been working pretty damn good so I'm confident going into Stockton . I took a break to let my wounds heal and then climbed back on the horse and tamed it with a little help from starting off the birds setup . I dremeled up some rear shock towers to change the inner link position so its lower and shorter and it worked really good, I think PW is going to make us some towers like that because I think its a really good change. Not sure if he has yet or what... you'll have to talk to him.

What I did was use the camber link mounts off an old front carpet tower I had and then slot the two upper holes vertically so I could move the ballstud up to the lower stock EC location if I wanted to for some reason. But the location I have it in right now is the upper middle hole of a front carpet tower which lowers it I believe about 2mm and shortens it about 1.5mm from the lower stock EC spot. Hope this helps specify it a bit.

STLNLST, what's up........long time huh? How do you like the EC? I'm actually considering taking a serious look at getting one of these. I don't know much about it and I'm just looking to gather some info on it....needed option parts, set-ups and ease of working on the car. I may give Paul a call and pick his brain about it....

Car is a definate improvement over the regular MI2. It doesn't need any hop up's. The only real thing the kit needed was a true gear adapter that allows you to run other spur gears without modifying a couple of things I think that they have taken care of that problem since the first run of the car. I really won't know what this car can do until I run it on aspahalt. Everyone knows I hate carpet and foam tire's....LOL The new shocks are just as smooth as the Tamiya shocks that everyone go so use to. If you get the time give PW a call and pick his brain about the car. It's very easy to work on and drives like a caddy.
