If you have the TRF420 spool but not the out drives, you can use parts from a Yokomo. It is a direct fit with no slop. I will use the TAMIYA part when it comes out but for now I will use this.

And the new black Tamiya DCJ front blades would fit on the Yokomo out drives?

WOW, Tamiya was quick to offer some option parts, lol. Could have been part of the original Kit.

Ken, have you taken the new kit out for a spin as of yet? Thoughts

What parts did they offer that don't come in the kit? I am assuming you mean the spool shown above? if so that is in the kit and that's why its a spare part not a hop up part.

Can't say for sure, but I doubt it. The new diff is slimmer. The new diff case is probably better anyway, if it leaks less, and it's lighter.

I have the TRF420 rear diff assembly. I'll put the two halves together tonight and compare it with the aluminum diff (if I remember, haha)

Probably $732.20 after dealer markup, transportation fees, tax, and commissions (Active Powersports). If you are truly a TAMIYA die hard fan and must be everything TAMIYA, I think TAMIYA USA will sell it for at least $1046.00. It does include FREE Shipping~!

The pre-order for $480 is probably a down payment. it still might be a lower price than most others are selling but they might get you with a high shipping charge from HK (RC Market)
