There are a few kits that do this as well. The Pro 5 comes to mind and the VBC cars. Not sure what the advantage is, if there is one.

As long as Tamiya is using five digits for 420 I'd say spares should be easier to find than 419X/XR. I don't mind the chassis not being mid-motor what I do have problem with is have little to no track time.
