I vote that anyone who actually wears a romper for the mains gets some kind of door prize*.

*Door prize may just be a photo taken with Wayne and distributed on the interwebs against you will.

Anybody else looking to save some $$ by splitting the cost of a room? If so, please send me a PM.

OK gang, this race is now one month away. Time to get any of your questions answered. Hopefully we have supplied everything you need on the rules but sometimes things slip by.

The Red Roof hotel in Middleburg Heights offers a special 15% discount for anyone staying in town for a race at The Gate. Click Here to visit Red Roof’s website or use reverence code VP#624051 when booking over the phone.

Is it within 5 minutes of the track? More than that and Perry will need a rest area

We always stay at the Quality Inn Brunswick (1435 S. Carpenter Rd., Brunswick, OH) or the Motel 6 Medina (3122 Eastpointe Dr., Medina, OH).

Quality Inn is close to the track (maybe 5 min?). Motel 6 is a little further out (15 min) but usually cheaper.

Yes, It’s true that at my advanced age I’ll be making a number of rest stops during the 12 hour drive from my home to the Gate. But, unlike McMike, I am actually gonna show up and race. 😜

I will also recommend looking for hotels at the I-71 an SR-18 interchange. There are several to choose from there.

Just info for everyone:
The CanAm motor classes have had their motors ordered. The number ordered was based on entries received for those classes. There are a few extras that are always ordered but only a few. If you didn't finalize your entry and your plan was to run in one of those classes you need to make sure there is now room for you. Email to [email protected] to be sure. This race is less than three weeks away.
