Low profile servo choices
I searched the site for relevant information on this subject but couldn't find anything newer than 2014. What low profile servos (unlimited budget) do you all like and why? Mainly in regards to 1/10th scale asphalt.

I run xpert servo's in my touring cars and have been very happy with them ....... carpet and asphalt ........ plenty of steering torque and reasonably priced , 25T spline https://hobby-square.com/xpert-rc-lo...m-center-case/

The Power HD B7 is a good choice for TC. Not the most expensive by any means, but speed, torque and quality are all excellent.

So what is it about the Sanwa programmable servos everyone is so impressed with? All the racers who use one tell me they are superior - game changing - life and death better. I don't get it?

You can control how reactive the servo is over 3 separate ranges of motion, beginning, middle and end. You can control the ramp slopes and you can have a global power limit over the whole range of motion. Its a different mindset. They have videos to explain or a manual with setup details. I do not consider them a game changer but maybe someone with higher skill can do better with all the settings.

With the Sanwa M12RS radio, I'm using the highest servo which I could set in SSR. Very quick response times and very strong and durable for hard crashes.

Savox 1251/1252 - Cheap, good speed, good torque, and very little play. Can't go wrong with these two.
Sanwa PGS CL - Cheap, good speed, great torque, but lots of play due to plastic bearings that are a special size. I've had problems with the car wandering with this servo, but once you install a metal bearing, there is very little play. If you're in Australia, Plaig bearings sell the correct bearing size. Don't remember the exact size, but they are pretty hard to find them anywhere else.
I also recently got a Muchmore CDS10, and I'll see how it goes. The specs are really good though and its decently priced. I think its a PowerHD rebrand just from visually comparing them and also having the exact same specs on paper.

I picked up the Savox SB2263MG-BE...fit nice and snug on my BD8. First low-profile servo I used so I can't say whether this is any better but I got it at a good price. Decent specs for a lightweight TC.
