The Carten T410 isn't really anything new. It's just a rebranded Nanda NRX-10.

Sadly, not much seems to have changed in the last 3 years, despite a seemingly endless supply of new Kyosho Fazer MK2 models, a new entrant (?) with the Carten T410 (from Taiwan) and the new 4tec 3.0 moving to a 1/9th scale. Here in Europe, the old Yokomo SD is putting up a good fight and refuses to die, but everything else looks pretty dead or on life-support (HPI RS3 Sport 3).

I'd love to see new mid-range models from the JP brands or some EU newcomers.
(that A700 was just so beautiful!)
May I suggest a Tamiya TC-01 or TB-05/ TB-05R?

Though we're a month or so out from it. The XV-02 might fit this. Also TC-01.

XV-01 was belt-driven, XV-02 changes to shaft-driven.

XV-02 will be shaft. Also the XV01 is totally enclosed, making it suitable for parking lots.

Hey while we're still here, isn't LC racing releasing a shaft drive 1/10 rally car and or touring car that takes a 540 motor? That should be an option too.

Maybe I'm missing something - aren't all 1/10th rally/touring taking 540's? Thanks ! Paul

Maybe the entry level price of a half grand is the new normal?

I think they meant silver can motors that only have the 2 screw holes on opposite sides of the cans, not the more typical 6 hole pattern.
